A funeral service for John A. "Pollock" Kozlosky will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2015, at Noon, at the Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, Pastor Tyler Batross will officiate. Burial will follow in the Fallsburg Cemetery, where the Licking County Veterans Alliance will present military funeral honors.
Friends and family may call from 2-4pm and 6-8pm, on Friday, at the funeral home, 985 N. 21st Street in Newark.
Mr. Kozlosky, age 76, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2014, at this home surrounded by his family. He was born June 22, 1938, in Wheeling, West Virginia, a son of Walter Albert and Susie Catherine (Rokar). He was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Vietnam War. When he resided in Cleveland, he had worked for the railroad and when he moved to the Newark area, he started working at Rockwell. He retired from Owens-Corning Fiberglas. His pastimes included hunting and fishing and he enjoyed watching all types of sports on TV. He most of all cherished the many hours spent playing cards with family and friends.
Surviving is his wife of 34 years, Sandra J. (Patch) Kozlosky; his children, Jamie A. (Burchard) (Gregg W.) Griffith, Johnnie J. (Burchard) (Eric D.) Minton, both of Fallsburg; his beloved grandchildren, Gregory W. Griffith, Gage M.J. Litten, Kruiz A. Minton, Garrett D. Minton, Bentley I. Minton; his brother, Walter (Gloria) Kozlosky of Mentor, Ohio; sister-in-law Mary Ann Kozlosky of Torrance, California and his beloved cat, "Star".
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Kozlosky of Torrance, California.
The family extends a special thanks to Tom, Barb, Bob Kozlosky, Clara Patch and Mary Proud, even when she wasn't feeling good. They helped pass time when he needed it most.
