Alan Ray Doan, 73 of Newark passed away on August 11, 2024 at the Selma Markowitz Center in Newark. He was born on October 6, 1950 in Ashland, OH to Barbara A. (Bowles) and the late Walter Ray Doan.

Alan was a retired custodian for Huntington Bank and Granville Police Department. He was a 49 year supporter of Newark Catholic Athletics.

In addition to his mother, Barbara Doan; he is survived by his sister, Alicia A. (Bill) Porter; nephews, Matthew D. (Jordan) Porter and Ivan A. Porter; great-niece, Bailey Porter; and great-nephew, Connor Porter.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his brother, Andrew J. Doan.

No services will be held at this time.
