Obituary

Anita "Sue" St. Clair, 82, of Newark, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the Selma Markowitz Hospice Center. She was born November 24, 1943, in Newark, to the late Wayne and Glenna (Reid) Overturf.

Sue was a lifelong and devoted member of Newark Faith Church. Her happiest moments were spent at the beach, her true "happy place," where she always felt at peace and most herself. She also enjoyed the fun and fellowship of playing Bingo and cherished every opportunity to be involved in her church community.

She is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, Gene St. Clair; her children, Todd (Amy) Gibson, Terry (Andrea) Gibson, and Kristen (Matt) Brewer; her grandchildren, Jacob (Rebecca), Alice Jane, Leighton and Alex; and her great-grandson, Dale.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Gibson Jr.

Memorial contributions may be made in Sue's honor to the Newark Salvation Army.
