Anna Rhea Walter, 92, of Heath, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, September 4, 2024. She was born March 3, 1932, in Akron, OH to the late Martin and Willy (Vaught) Monaghan.

Anna was a member of the First Baptist Church in Heath. She enjoyed sewing, reading and working in her yard. Ronald and Anna were committed to being living examples to the children. First and foremost was their unwavering commitment and personal relationship with Jesus Christ which they lived out daily. In 1968 they returned to school completing their education and received their diplomas stressing the importance of education.

She is survived by her children, Ronda Ruth Walter, Susan Gail (William) Nielson and Stanley Michael "Stan" (Deb) Walter; daughter-in-law, Kay Walter; grandchildren, Jason (Leslie) Walter, Brandy (Chelsea) Bremer, Tracy (James) Sims, Ronald (Danielle) Walter; Anya Nielson, Abagail (Eden) Avolas and Aliece (Sean) McElrath; and great grandchildren, Taleigha Walter, Madison Scales, Jessie Sims, Brooklyn Walter and Dottie Avalos.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Ronald D. Walter (2020); son, Ronald Patrick Walter (2017); sisters, Margaret Whittaker, Ruth May Snoor, Mary Jeanette Beard and Mildred Marie Noffsinger; and brother, Martin Patrick Monaghan.

Visitation will be held Monday, September 9, 2024, from 12-2 pm at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark where the funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Bill Nielson officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service at Wilson Cemetery.
