Annie Delores (Smith) Henderson, age 80, of Newark, Ohio, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, May 23, 2025. She was born on February 3, 1945, in Dallas County, Alabama, to the late Willie B. Smith.

Annie graduated from Tipton High School and went on to attend Selma University. After marrying Jeff Henderson in 1968, the couple settled in Newark, Ohio, where they shared over 40 years together. Annie worked at Dayton Precision in Hebron, Ohio, for over 46 years.

A devoted member of Trinity Baptist Church and the Ladies Club, Annie found joy in her faith, her community, and the outdoors. She especially loved attending church, watching sports, and spending time in nature.

Annie is survived by her brother, Bishop B.A. Scott Sr. ; niece, Kelly Smith; special great-nieces, Tiffany Black, Taylor Black, and Tacary Haile; nephews, Tony (Tara) Bonner, Bert (Sheila) Scott Jr., Brandon (Shannon) Scott, and Carter Barnett; and many other beloved nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Lucille Brown, Emma Watts, and Rev. Dr. E.D. Scott; as well as dear friends, Alice Bonner and Junita Spivey.

In addition to her mother, Annie was preceded in death by her husband, Jeff Henderson; her sister, Marcella Smith; and her grandmother, Rose Bell Denise.

Family and friends are invited to visitation on Friday, May 30, 2025, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Brucker & Kishler Funeral Home, 895 N. 21st Street, Newark, Ohio 43055. A funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m., officiated by Bishop B.A. Scott Sr. of The Word Ministry, Selma, Alabama. Interment will take place immediately following the service at Newark Memorial Gardens.

Annie's warmth, faith, and love for her family and friends will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
