Barbara Breneman

Barbara Breneman, age 85, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2023.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Aretas and Thelma Peugh, as well as her loving husband of nearly 61 years, Harry Breneman. She is survived by her children Jacqueline (Mark) Bretz, Michelle (Tony) Ruvolo and Darren Breneman; Grandchildren Lindsey (Anil) Das, Howie (Meghan) Bretz, Myranda (Dan) Held, Casey (Amy) Needham, Emilee (Josh) Gaudio, Megan (Jamal) Khan, Abbey Bretz, Ian Breneman, and several great grandchildren.

Barbara was born on June 3, 1938, in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. She was the oldest daughter of seven children. At a young age, she worked at the local hospital alongside her beloved grandmother, which was something she always treasured. After that, she dedicated her time to her family; always ensuring those around her were taken care of.

Her greatest joys were cooking, spending time with and taking care of grandkids, going to thrift stores, and decorating her home. She took immense pride in the home she felt so blessed to have. Each time you would visit, the furniture and decor would be brought to life again in a new purpose or different location.

Her family takes solace in that she will be reunited with her husband. They are both greatly missed, and their absence felt. A private service will be held for immediate family.
