Barbara A. Forgrave, age 94, of Newark, passed away on July 27, 2024. Barbara was born on August 5, 1929, to the late Everett and Naomi (Thompson) Post in Gloucester, Ohio.

She graduated from Newark High School in 1947. Barbara worked at various places in sales and volunteered at Twig at the Licking Memorial Hospital. She was a member of The Christ United Methodist Church, Sarah Rebecca Circle and the Women's Society. Barbara married the love of her life James F. Forgrave on January 9, 1960.

She is survived by her children, Candy (Mike) Kilpatrick, Cathy (Rick) Sisco, Bob (Nereida) Forgrave, Cindy Forgrave; siblings, Robert (Joan) Post, Shirley Bodem; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and one on the way; sister-in-law, Ann Forgrave; son-in-law, (Joe) Cantrell; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, James A. Forgrave; beloved and sadly missed daughter, Terri Cantrell; brother, Donsel (Martha) Post; brothers-in-law, Earl Bodem, David Forgrave.

Family and friends may call on July 31, 2024, from 12 - 1 PM at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, where her service will immediately follow at 1 PM with Chaplin Mark Pierce officiating. Burial will take place in Wilson Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in Barbara's memory to Hospice of Central Ohio.
