Barbara Ann (Quick) Hurley, age 65, of Newark, passed away Friday, October 3, 2025, at Licking Memorial Hospital. She was born in Newark on July 18, 1960, to the late Charles and Dorothy (Ratliff) Quick, Sr.
Barbara was an excellent cook who was very family oriented. She loved passing down family traditions, Christmas, crafting, music, experiencing nature, and making new friends.
She is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, James Hurley; children, Michael (Jen) Robinson, Nicholas (Shantelle) Robinson, and Amy (Johnny) Harris; grandchildren, Amelia (Camron) Novaria, Peyton Robinson, Jared Robinson, Ava Robinson, Logan (Kirby) Phillips;
great-grandson, Nash Novaria; siblings, Charles (Linda) Quick, Jr, Marsha (Todd) Spung, and Brenda (Steve) Rupe.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Harold Quick and stepson, John Hurley.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Tuesday, October 7 and 11 am-12 pm Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, 958 N 21st, St. Newark, Ohio 43055.  A 12 pm funeral service will take place Wednesday after visitation. There will be a graveside service at Barnes Cemetery immediately following the funeral service, Pastor Cory Campbell officiating.
