Barbara Ann Stobbs McFarland, 94, died peacefully at home, June 22, 2025. Born February 16, 1931 at Brookside, Ohio to the late Matthew Henry and Lena Bell Sunderman Stobbs.

Graduate of Martins Ferry High School and Summa Cum Laude graduate of the University of South Florida. An avid artist, gardener, golfer, genealogist, traveler and lover of classical music, Barbara's talents also encompassed the business world, becoming a successful real estate broker later in life. An active member of the Granville Garden Club and National Society Colonial Dames 17th Century, and also a member of the Granville Historical Society. A former Deacon and Elder of First Presbyterian Church of Granville, before it went woke.

Preceded in death by her husband Col. Jack Boaz McFarland USAF, and her ten brothers and sisters.

Survived by her daughter Patricia Jane Burns of Ashtabula and Patricia's children and grandchildren, her son Jonathan Drew McFarland of Granville, granddaughters Lena Ailin Boaz McFarland and Barbara Isabella Dent McFarland, of Granville, as well as many loving nieces and nephews and their children and grandchildren.

There will be no local service; burial to be with her husband at Arlington National Cemetery, date presently uncertain.

Donations in her name may be made to "Susanna Fuller White Chapter, National Society Colonial Dames 17th Century" and mailed ℅ McFarland Law, 230 E. Broadway, Granville.  Donations received will be used to purchase books in her name and donated to the Society's Library, located in Washington D.C., and/or the Columbus Public Library, Main location, Genealogy Section.
