Barbara Ann Oblinger

Barbara Ann Oblinger, age 86, of Newark, passed away on June 12, 2026, at her residence. Barbara was born on April 19, 1940, in Warren, Ohio to the late Harold Andrew and Rutheda Maryella (Harderty) Kuszmaul.

She enjoyed gardening and had a special love for flowers, finding joy in the beauty they brought to the world. She was an excellent cook who delighted in preparing meals for family and friends. Known for her quick wit and wonderful sense of humor, she could make anyone smile and was loved by all who knew her. She was a genuinely kind and generous person who never hesitated to help others. A devoted wife and amazing mother, her greatest happiness came from spending time with her family. She especially loved children and cherished every moment with them. Her warmth, compassion, and loving spirit will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by everyone whose lives she touched.

She is survived by her loving husband oof 63 years, Carl Selby Oblinger; children, Janet Oblinger, Cindy Hagerman; grandchildren, Cassandra Hagerman and William (Casey) Hagerman; son-in-law, Bill Hagerman; special friends, Nini Lupton and Ramona (Bob) Brabb.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Ronnie Kuszmaul and Donna Oblinger.
