Barbara Lou Rogge

Barbara Lou Rogge, age 91, of Alexandria, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on October 16, 2026. Barbara was born on March 22, 1935, in Magoffin County Kentucky, to the late Bert and Ressie M. (Arnett) Greene.

Our dear mother was a well-known, admired, loved, and respected part of the Alexandria community. She was a life-long member of the Alexandria Baptist Church. Barbara, along with her husband, Richard, owned and operated Rogge’s Corner General Store on the corner of Liberty and Main for 17 years.

She is survived by her greatest joy, her 10 children, Brenda (Tom), Lynn (Doug), Bonnie (Joe), Bill (Pam), Matt (Elissa), Mark, Julie (Jeff), Trina (Jon), Mary, and Gretel (Kevan); many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also, survived by her sister, Martha.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Wagner; and her 10 siblings.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, from 1:30-3:30 pm at the Alexandria Baptist Church. Her service will immediately follow at 3:30 pm at the Alexandria Baptist Church with Pastor Brian Potts officiating. Burial will take place in Maple Grove Cemetery, in Alexandria at a later date.
