Barbara L Spangler

Barbara L. Spangler, age 69, of Newark passed away on September 29, 2026, at The Hospice House. Barbara was born on September 17, 1957, in Newark to Larry D. and Patricia (Redman) Jones.

She enjoyed playing the guitar and singing. She was an active member of the Newark Church of the Nazarene and participated in The Walk to Emmaus, where her faith and love for others were an important part of her life.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, William “Andy” Spangler; children, Eric (Brittany) Spangler, Natalie Spangler; stepdaughter, Rebekah Spangler; mother, Patricia Jones; siblings, Mark (Glenna) Jones, Kelly Jones, and Mike (Carla) Jones; many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father, Larry D. Jones; stepson, Luke Spanlger.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 3 – 7 pm at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home. Where her service will be held on Saturday, October 3, at 10 am, with Pastor Curtis Martin officiating. Burial will take place in Newark Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses.
