Barbara Ann (Barton) Yockman, age 82, of Newark, passed away at her home Saturday, September 20, 2025. She was born in Zanesville, Ohio on March 23, 1943, to the late Howard and Ann (Buck) Barton.

Barbara was an avid crafter, and she loved to watch her grandson play baseball and football.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Kenneth Yockman; children, Vicki (David) Byers, and J.R. (Gayle) McCullough, Dr. James (Irene) Yockman; grandchildren, Nicholas (Melanie) McCullough, Jessica Hanes, Andrew (Torri) Crouse, Curtis (Jessica Caldwell) Byers, Morgan (Joel) Dunkle, Tyler Byers, Luka Yockman, Ciara (Austin) Wilson, and Hayley (Kodi) Stranahan; great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Kelan, Ryleigh, Ethan, Esme, and Parker; siblings, Bill (Vickie) Barton, Carl (Doreen) Barton, Evelyn Grise, Sherry Smith, Patricia (Ken) Moran, Lori (Chuck) Stemm, and Dolores (Sid) Thorpe; special fur babies, Scooter, Orio, and Coco.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Richard, James, Jerry, and Raymond Barton, Sheila Arthur, Nita Kasson, and Melony Swonger.

The family would like to extend a heart-felt thank you to Hospice of Central Ohio, The James and the Licking Memorial Hospital teams for the care shown to Barbara.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Wednesday, September 24, 2025, and Thursday, 10-11 am September 25, 2025, with an 11 am funeral service, at Brucker and KIshler Funeral Home, 859 N 21st, St. Newark,Ohio 43055. A graveside service will take place at Wilson Cemetery immediately following the funeral service, Pastor Wally McLaughlin officiating.
