Becky J. (Redman) Shoults

November 21, 1948 – October 9, 2025

A funeral service for Becky J. (Redman) Shoults, 76, of Newark, Ohio, will be held at 12pm Friday, October 24, 2025, at Brucker & Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St. Newark. Calling hours will be held 3-7pm Thursday, October 23, 2025 and 11am-12pm Friday, October 24, 2025.

Becky passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2025, after battling cancer. She was born on November 21, 1948, to the late Bertrum and Anna Eileen (Lake) Redman.

Becky graduated from Newark High School in 1966. She retired in 2015 after 43 years with Wince Welding Supply as an office manager and bookkeeper. Previously, she was a teller at Newark Trust Bank and worked at Seaway department store.

She was heavily involved in various social and charitable organizations including Zonta Club of Newark (president), Ladies of the Elks, Newark Maennerchor, and many years with Newark Ski Club (holding various offices). She enjoyed snow skiing for many years at resorts in numerous states, until she had a shoulder injury, which by the way, was not skiing related. Becky was always up for an adventure, ready to take trips to almost anywhere, anytime, including various wineries. She was an expert shopper and enjoyed collecting baskets and bears. She loved dogs, especially Zoe, Maggie, and Hogan. Becky loved being a grandma and was a fantastic friend that will be greatly missed. To know her, and her warm smile, was to love her.

Becky is survived by her husband of 58 years, Dick Shoults; son, Dan (Jen) Shoults; grandson, Sam Shoults; granddaughter, Addie Shoults; brother, Jim (Sheree) Redman; sisters-in-law, Barb Redman and Dee Redman; brothers-in-law, Dale Good, Jack (Carol) Shoults, and Ed Williams; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Becky was preceded in death by her brothers, Joe Redman and Bert Redman; sisters, Jean Good and Gladys Schooler; and sister-in-law, Sue Williams.
