Obituary

January 17, 2026 Benjamin Patrick Kegley went to be with his Lord whom he loved supremely and served with complete and total dedication. The fervent love that he had for his God was apparent to all that he encountered and was the theme of all he did or said.

Ben loved people and could connect with anyone he met and seemed to leave a mark with them. His passing has left a tremendous void, and he will be missed greatly. And yet we "sorrow not, even as others which have no hope". Our great sorrow is mingled with joy while we look on the clear evidence of a life that was governed by our Lord.

Ben loved playing the hymns on the piano and in the evenings it was many times such an enjoyment to be able to listen to. He loved his family. The nieces and nephews he especially enjoyed and would often spend time playing with them.

Despite chronic illness, Ben worked as a commercial truck driver, driving a big rig around the eastern part of the country and recently began working for Keystone Cooperative doing home propane deliveries. Prior to that he worked in several construction jobs.

Benjamin was born on February 13, 2001 in Newport, TN to David and Tracy (Lewis) Kegley.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brothers, Andrew (Alysha) Kegley and Anthony (Sabrina) Kegley; grandmother, Donna Kegley; niece and nephews, Addalyn, Cayson, Deklin and Ashton Kegley; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; special friends, Joelan Booher and Brother Ted Bock.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Tim and Thea Lewis and Edward Kegley.

The family will receive friends from 10-12pm on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at Lawrenceville Church of God, 3131 Fox Hollow Rd., Springfield where the funeral service will be held at 12pm. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Mechanicsburg.
