Beverly J. Ramsey, 79 of Newark passed away on June 1, 2026 at Licking Memorial Hospital. She was born on May 3, 1947 in Newark, OH to the late Paul Wilbur and Katherine Helen (Ashcraft) Banks.

Beverly graduated from Licking Valley High School in 1965. She had a special love for all God’s creatures, especially her cherished pets and the hummingbirds she enjoyed watching. She found joy in the beauty of unicorns and dragonflies and she expressed her creativity through crafting.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Randy) Hinkle; 4 grandchildren, Evan Welsh, Cameron (Ashley) Gehr, Cody Gehr and Nathan (Misty) Hinkle; 7 great-grandchildren, Harper, Paisley, Cohen, Wade, Iris, Ivy and Fenix; sister, Terry Sidle; brother, Mark (Patty) Banks; brother-in-law, Gary Melick; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Brian Ramsey; son, William “Billy” Amos; and sisters, Paula Melick, Sally Lewis and Pam Broseus.
