Brenda Sue Brown, 64, of Newark, died Thursday, January 18, 2024 at her home. She was born May 19, 1959 in Newark to the late William Henry and Mary Ellen (Williams) Brown.

Brenda graduated from Newark Catholic High School class of 1977. She retired from DSCC after 34 years. Brenda was an avid Buckeye fan, enjoyed attending concerts, shopping, watching basketball, and eating at Mexican restaurants. She loved her dog, Zoey and her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Megan (Christopher) Moore; brother, Clyde (Barbara) Brown; sister, Lois Brown; and several cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by grandparents, Clyde and Mary Williams; and many aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 11-1 pm at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark, where the funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm with Father Mike Gentry officiating. Burial will follow the service at St. Joseph Cemetery.
