Brian George Oravec, age 53, of Newark, passed away on March 7, 2024. Brian was born on February 1, 1971, to the late Judith R. Oravec, in Columbus, Ohio.

He was proud of his service on the Hanover Volunteer Fire Dept. He was a dedicated Intervention Specialist with Newark City Schools. Brian was also a racer and a "jack of all trades" at National Trail Raceway. Brian enjoyed MOPAR and was a car fanatic. He never met a stranger and would lend a helping hand to anyone. Brian loved sharing his knowledge on any number of topics. In his youth, Brian earned the status of Eagle Scout and had a love for animals.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Kristi Oravec; life sister, Tiffaney Marshall; father-in-law, James Sambuco; his many fur babies; and many friends.

In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Rosalie Sambuco.

A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, from 4 - 7 PM at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home.
