Loving husband 52 years to Connie Ingold-Axline. Graduated from Newark High School, class of 1964. Attended Franklin University, Ohio State University, and American Institute of Banking. Retired National City Bank with 30 years of service. Avid Reader, enjoyed golf, motorcycle riding, fishing and other sports. Member of Wright Memorial United Methodist Church, SASS, NRA, Amvets, American Legion, Moose Lodge #499, North American Society of Pipe Collectors (NASPC).

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ross L. Axline, sister Sheryl C. Volpe.
