Bruce Howard Whitney, 76 of Newark passed away on February 7, 2026 at his residence. He was born on July 4, 1949 in Galion, OH to the late Harold Mark and Iris Marie (Canterbury) Whitney.

Bruce served honorably in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He retired from Boeing and was a member of the Buckeye Lake AMVETS.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Pamela S. (Rutter) Whitney; sons, Chad (Rebecca) Whitney and Jason Whitney; grandchildren, Caine, Jahni, Cohen, Abigail and Anastasia; sisters, Jean and Mary Ann; and many nieces and nephews.
