Camren Kristopher
Hills
Nov 21, 1995 — Dec 24, 2025
Newark
Camren Hills, 30, of Newark, Ohio tragically lost his battle with depression on December 24th 2025. He was born November 21st, 1995 in Zanesville, Ohio.
From a young age he loved helping his nana and papa, George and Pam Hills. He also had a special relationship with his cousins, Jacob and Anthony Douglas, and would often ask his nana and his mom, Jamie Gibson, when his boys were coming to visit.
These relationships stayed strong as he grew into adulthood. He still loved helping his nana and papa and as his boys had children of their own, he considered them nieces and nephews more than second cousins. Jake and Anthony feel the same for Camren's son, Ashtyn.
Camren loved music and started playing guitar when he was just 12. He wrote his own songs and refused to play covers when he started playing shows. One of his biggest supporters was Ashtyn's mom, Amber Ferko, who will miss him dearly.
He worked hard to keep his brother, Aiden Gibson, on his toes. When he was teaching Aiden how to ride a bike, he said the training wheels were broken and only after Aiden had fallen and got back up enough times to know how to ride did Cam let Aiden know they weren't broken, they were just in his way.
Anyone who knew Camren knows he cherished his dogs Blue and Buddy. We are grateful to his best friend (brother) Chance Hughes for his ongoing care of Buddy while Blue stays with Nana and Papa.
He is probably best remembered through his adventures and shenanigans, which were numerous. From jumping in rivers with his phone in his pocket to riding his motorcycle past his dad Alan Gibson's house to visiting The Pocket while he lived in Tennessee, Camren lived a big life and left us so many good memories. He was and always will be loved beyond words.
He is additionally survived by his sister Tiffanee Dixon, Aunts Alyssa (Bill) Streller and Amber (Andy) Benner, Uncles George Hills and Anthony (Lorrana) Warren, cousins, and many more friends and family far too numerous to list.
Visitation will be held from 1pm - 3pm Saturday, January 3, and 1pm - 2pm Sunday, January 4, 2026, at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N 21st, St. Newark, Ohio 43055. A 2pm funeral service will take place immediately following visitation on Sunday.
