Carl Raymond Alexander, age 73, of Newark, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Select Specialty Hospital. He was born in Newark, Ohio on August 23, 1952, to the late Walter and Mary (Huffman) Alexander.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years, Gwen (Erickson) Alexander; children Marcus Alexander, and Ericka Alexander; grandchildren, Aiden, Gavin, Elizabeth, and Matthew Bentley; and sister, Maxine (Cecil) Hyre.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Nicholas Alexander.

Carl enjoyed managing many Nationwise Auto Parts stores, then moving on to NAPA.

Also enjoyed drag racing with his best friend Ed Wilson, and enjoyed the old Westerns and shoot'em up movies.

Very thankful for his extended family, and the many friends he met over years working, racing, and everyday life, he didn't know a stranger.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
