Carol L. Bennett-Rostofer

A funeral service for Carol L. Bennett-Rostofer, 82, of Newark, OH, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, with Pastor Bryan Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Wilson Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at the funeral home, 985 N. 21st St. Newark, OH.

Carol passed away peacefully on February 24, 2026, surrounded by her family at her daughter's residence. She was born March 3, 1943, in Connellsville, PA, to the late Boyd W. Bennett, Sr. and Ida Mae (Keffer) Bennett.

Carol was a 1961 graduate of Utica High School and continued her education at 3B Beauty School from 1962 to 1963. She went on to enjoy a remarkable 60-year career as a dedicated and talented hair beautician, touching countless lives through her work and warm spirit. A lifelong and faithful member of Chatham United Methodist Church, Carol's strong sense of faith and community guided her throughout her life. She was also a proud member of the Newark Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). Carol was an avid sports enthusiast who never missed an opportunity to cheer on her grandchildren at their sporting events. She truly lived for her grandchildren, and they were the center of her world. She also cherished the time she spent at her Florida residence, where she enjoyed relaxation, sunshine, and making treasured memories with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Rostofer; daughter, Carla (Todd) Smith; grandchildren, Hunter and Austin Smith; step-grandchildren, Dustin (Heather Petry) Rostofer; step-great-granddaughters, Allie and Killie Shaw; siblings, Boyd Bennett, Jr., Violet (Joe) Tucker, Richard Bennett, James (Sandy) Bennett, Larry (Jackie) Bennett, and Cindy (Edward) Back, and several nieces and nephews.
