Carol Louise Powell

A memorial service for Carol Louise Powell, 72, of Newark, OH, will be held at 5:00 p.m. Friday, July 26, 2024, at Neal Ave. United Methodist Church, 12 Neal Ave. Newark, OH, with Pastor Drew Watson officiating. A dinner will follow after the service at the church.

Carol passed away July 20, 2024, at her cousin's residence. She was born June 7, 1952, in Newark, OH, to the late Charles and Edna L. (Collins) Beck.

Carol was a longtime member of Neal Ave. United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher. She was a bookkeeper and square dancer.

She is survived by her stepdaughters, Robin Fisher and Patricia Murphy; brother, Gary Beck; sister-in-law, Lorena Beck; grandchildren, Patrick (Catalina) LaPointe, Crystal (Nathan) Gatts, Mike (Bethany) Watson, Joe (Heather) Watson, and Alexis Murphy, and several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard A. Powell, and brother, Roger W. Beck.
