Carolyn Marie Martin, 73 of Newark passed away on June 10, 2025 at the Selma Markowitz Center in Newark. She was born on October 25, 1951 in Pasadena, TX to the late Charles and Jean (Pfiefer) McWhorter.

Carolyn was a librarian at North Fork Schools for more than 30 years. She loved children's books. She was a certified dog judge for performance events and longtime member of Licking River Kennel Club. She was a former 4 Paws 4-H Club training advisor.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Charles G. Martin; daughter, Lindsey (Brandon Vatter) Martin; grandchildren, Riker and Rory Vatter; sister, Pamela; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A celebration of life will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at the Ye Olde Mill, 11324 Mt. Vernon Rd., Utica.
