Charlene Lorraine Hanson, 85, of Heath, died Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at Altercare South Newark. She was born September 16, 1938 in Chicago, IL to the late Walter and Charlotte (Pillar) Roebuck.

Charlene loved being a mother and taking care of her children and enjoyed vacations with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Larry Hanson Sr.; children, Larry (Kathy) Hanson Jr., Debbie (Jeff) Mengler, and Karen Newquist; grandchildren, Brian Mengler, Lexie Newquist, and Ryan Newquist; sister, Sharon (John) Oravec; brothers, Walter (Joyce) Roebuck and Glenn (Diane) Roebuck; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by granddaughter, Katie Mengler.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 23, 2024 from 1-5 pm at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark, where the funeral service will follow at 5:00 pm with Rev. Susan Britton officiating.
