Charlene Sue Wentz, 85 of Columbus, formerly of Newark passed away on February 28, 2025 at Doctors West Hospital in Columbus. She was born on December 15, 1939 in Newark, OH to the late Ernest E. and Aleatha Myrtle (Cunningham) Thompson.

Charlene was a member of the Ohio Eastern Star Wroena Chapter #597.

She is survived by her son, Robert D. Wentz, Jr.; brother, Ernest (Jan) Thompson; mother-in-law, Ruth Wonnell; sister-in-law, Ann Oyer; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Wentz, Sr.; daughter-in-law, Juliann Wentz; and sister, Evelyn Myers.

A graveside service will be held at 2pm on Friday, March 7, 2025 at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Newark.
