Charles R. Guisinger, Jr., age 77, of Newark, Ohio, passed away at the Selma Markowitz Care Center Sunday, September 6, 2026. He was born in Mt. Vernon, Ohio to the late Charles R. and Frances (O’Bannon) Guisinger, Sr.

Charles was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and served in Vietnam. He enjoyed mushroom hunting and wood carving.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Debbie Guisinger; daughter, Shannon (Truth) Finck; sisters, Bonnie Jo Wilson and Carol Gibson; grandsons, Jakob and Isaac Finck; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Bill Guisinger; siblings, Donald Guisinger and Betty Jane Pierpont; fur baby, Andy.

In keeping with Charles’ wishes, no services will be held at this time.
