Heath
Charles Michael Bush "Mike", loving husband, father, and grandpa, received his eternal rest on November 21, 2025, in Heath, Ohio. Mike was born February 10, 1947, in Lancaster, Ohio, to Charles D. Bush and Enid (Shockley) Bush.
He grew up in Newark and spent his early years on the basketball court whenever he could. He also played Little League, which led his coaching a North Newark Little League team. After graduating from Newark High School, Mike entered the United States Army, where he proudly served his country in the Vietnam War with the Big Red 1 Combat Engineers. Prior to his retirement from Licking Memorial after 22 years, he worked at Schuler Engineering for 22 years. On any given day you may have seen him walking the streets of Heath or cheering on his Buckeyes or Yankees.
Mike had a giving spirit and a great sense of humor. His greatest love was his family. He was so proud of his daughter, Stacy and son-in-law, Jason. His greatest joy in life was the time spent with his beloved grandson, Gage Michael.
Mike is survived by his wife of 56 years, Janet (Crothers) Bush, daughter and son-in-law, Stacy and Jason Putman, grandson, Gage Michael Putman, all of Solon, Ohio, and his brother, Jerry Bush of Newark,
In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by brothers Larry L. Bush and Russell (Cork) Bush, and sister, Carol J. Barber.
