Cheryl Ann (Ditto) Oravec, age 66, of Newark, passed away Monday, March 16, 2026, at the OSU Medical Center. She was born in Cambridge, Ohio on August 24, 1959, to the late Don and Shirley (Benson) Ditto.

Cheryl was a fun and loving mother and wife. She was terrified of heights and hated dinosaurs. She enjoyed traveling, going on cruises, painting, sewing, gardening, cooking, watching SiFi, but most of all spending time with her family.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 40 years, Paul Oravec; children, Jason West, Joseph (Corrie) West, and Patricia Oravec; grandchildren, Jacob (Sammantha) West, Brandon West, Cheyenne Haddaway, and Emily West; siblings Penny Heavilin and Curtis Ditto.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Gloria Becker.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, March 21, 2026, followed by a 1 p.m. memorial service at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N 21st, St. Newark, Ohio 43055, Pastor Wes Humble officiating. Following the service, there will be a celebration of life at the same location.
