Christopher W. Rada, 63 of Newark passed away on February 25, 2025 at Select Specialty Hospital in Newark. He was born on December 14, 1961 in Newark, OH to Judith B. (Householder) and the late William F. Rada.

Chris graduated from Heath High School in 1980. He retired from Licking County Transit. He had a passion for making people laugh and could always find a good restaurant while traveling. He enjoyed antiquing and betting on dogs at Wheeling. Most of all he loved his grandchildren and enjoyed watching them play softball.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Catey (Jeff) Munyan; grandchildren, Sami Munyan, Briana Hoisington, Jackson Hoisington and Lynlee Simms; sister, Robin Archer; uncle, Tom Householder; niece, Ashley (Kyle) Bryan; and great-niece, Hazel Bryan.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his brother, Brad A. Rada; brother-in-law, Randy Archer; and aunt, Susan (Paul) Shannon.

The family will receive friends from 4-6pm on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 394 E. Main St., Newark with Father Anthony Lonzo as Celebrant.
