David L. Vanoy, age 70, of Newark passed away on December 15, 2023. David was born on November 19, 1953, to the late Charles Clinton and Gladyse Louise (Ihle) Vanoy.

He enjoyed collecting toy trains and building model cars, ships, and airplanes. David 's life revolved around his family and his cat, Peanut.

David is survived by his son, David L. Vanoy II; brother, Dan (Deb) Vanoy; brother-in-law, Donald Crook; sister-in-law, Rhoda (Jack) Wallace; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Rhonda Christine Vanoy; daughter, Joy Rose Vanoy; brothers, Richard (Sue) Vanoy, Cecil (Sally) Vanoy; sister Amy Crook.

A visitation will be held on December 20, 2023, from 12 PM - 1 PM, where his service will immediately follow at 1 PM with Heath Waters officiating.  Burial will be in Wilson Cemetery.
