Deanne Sue "Dee" Gast, 49, of Newark, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at home, in the presence of her family. She was born June 16, 1975 in Columbus to Richard Hupp and Susan (Musick) Manausa.

Dee fought a brave and courageous fight till the end. She cherished her family and friends, those especially who were in her "bubble". She loved the ocean and the beach. She loved holidays and decorating elaborately for them, especially Halloween as it was her favorite.

Dee is survived by her husband, Joe Gast; mother, Susan Manausa of Thornville; father, Richard Hupp of Newark; grandmother, Clarann Musick of Heath; brothers, Brian (Kristin) Hupp of Newark, her twin brother, Darin (Carrie) Hupp of Columbus, Andrew (Kristin) Hupp of Thornville, and Eric (Robin) Hupp of Salado, Texas; sister-in-law, Samantha (Jason) Wilson of Hanover; nieces, Lydia, Eleanor, Sophia, Bella, and Clara Hupp; nephews, Joel, Jacob, and Cormac Hupp and Caleb and Tanner Wilson.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Arthur Musick.

She will be deeply missed by all who loved her, including her dog, Opie and cat, Peanut.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Dee to Hospice of Central Ohio.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
