March 14, 1953 – May 6, 2025
With great sorrow and deep love, we announce the passing of Debra Sue Harper, age 72, of Newark, Ohio, who entered into eternal rest on May 6, 2025.
Born on March 14, 1953, in Zanesville, Ohio, Debbie was a woman of unwavering faith, compassion, and quiet strength. A devout Christian, she found joy and peace in her Bible, often spending her days in study and reflection, and listening to sermons that deepened her walk with God. Her faith was the steady anchor of her life and a witness to God's faithfulness to those who knew her.
Debbie dedicated her life to her family, embracing her roles as a homemaker, mother, and caregiver with tireless devotion and boundless love. Her nurturing spirit, warm heart, and gentle presence made her home a place of comfort and grace. In her later years, one of her greatest pleasures was enjoying lunch with her beloved sister Nancy—a cherished routine that brought her laughter, comfort, and joy.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Harper; her loving parents, Dorothy and Arthur Settles; her sister, Wanda Stone; and her brothers, Robert Settles and Arthur Settles.
Debbie is survived by her children, Robert (Lauren) Bebout, Brian (Melissa) Bebout, and Mark (Deana) Bebout; twelve grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her dear sister Nancy, and many other cherished family members and friends.
Debbie will be remembered for her quiet wisdom, her selfless love, and the steadfast faith that shaped every part of her life. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and faithfulness that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
