Delores Anne Ruble, 99, of Newark, died Sunday, April 28, 2024 at Altercare Newark South. She was born May 6, 1924 in Galesburg, IL to the late Kenneth and Eda Mae (Harkrider) Jordan.

Delores was a member of Newark Seventh-Day Adventist Church. She played piano for services at both Northside Church of Christ and Newark Seventh-Day Adventist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother to everyone she met.

She is survived by her children, Darrell (Margaret) Ruble, Diana Campbell, Rodney Ruble, Steve (Connie) Ruble and Howard (Heidi) Ruble; 14 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; brother, Roger (Elaine) Kramer; sister-in-law, Helen Hicks; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Ruble Sr.; son, Terry Ruble; son-in-law, Paul Campbell; grandson, Rick Smith; great granddaughter, Sophia Dalanno; grandson-in-law, Craig Dalanno; sister, Joyce Elliott; and brothers, Dale, Donnie, Howard, and Ronnie Kramer.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Delores to Absolute Hospice.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 3, 2024 from 5-7 pm at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark, where the funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm.

The family asks that everyone attending to wear pink in honor of Delores and her favorite color.
