Denise Ann
Winke
Jul 8, 1959 — Mar 12, 2025
Newark
Denise Ann Winke, 65, of Newark, died Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at the Selma Markowitz Hospice Center. She was born July 8, 1959 in Frankfurt, Germany to the late Robert James Winke and Judith Ann (Clark) Winke.
Denise was a social butterfly. She was fun-loving, outgoing, and never knew a stranger. Denise loved her family and her witty sense of humor made family gatherings more fun. One of her favorite places was the beach and she was able to create many memories through vacations with her daughters, sisters, and mother. She loved being Oma to her grandchildren whom she adored. She was known as a "baby whisperer" and used this skill to love and care for children working in daycares. The brightness she brought to the room will be missed by many.
She is survived by her daughters, Jessica Ann (Adam) Damin and Alexa (Hunter) Felix; grandchildren, Isla and Case Damin; sisters, Deborah Young, Deanne (Phil) Shaw, Bobbi (Rick) Martinsen and Janice (Joel) Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by maternal grandmother, Mary Clark.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Denise to Humane Society of Licking County and/or Hospice of Central Ohio.
Visitation will be held Sunday, March 16, 2025 from 1:00- 3:00 pm at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark, where the funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm with Pastor Cheryl Simpson officiating.
