With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Diana L. Boys, 65, of Newark, Thursday, December 19, 2024, at her home with her family by her side. Diana was born on April 29, 1959, in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Samuel Stidham and Patricia Layne. Diana valiantly battled Alzheimer's disease, and it would be a disservice to say she lost this battle. She never ceased her fight, embodying determination and resilience through every challenge.

Diana's journey into the world of sales began in her early adulthood when she encountered her soulmate, Bret Boys. They built a beautiful life together along with her young daughters that became his own. Everything she did in her journey was for them. Diana was the epitome of a self-made entrepreneur. She possessed an innate talent for making a genuine connection with anyone who crossed her path that enabled her to excel in her self-employed direct sales career.

Her passion extended beyond her professional life to her love for home décor, where she transformed her home and those of her loved ones with her impeccable taste. Whenever you would see Diana, she was full glam, dressed beautifully, and was never without bling. She was a radiant presence in any room, bringing light wherever she went.

Diana's memory will live on through those who loved her dearly. To know her, was to love her. She lived for her family. She cherished every moment with them. Her spirit, infectious laughter, and boundless love will forever be cherished by her husband, daughters, grandchildren, and entire family.

She is survived by her devoted husband and primary caretaker, Bret Boys; her beloved daughters, Erica Duncan (Kyle Hayes) and Chanda Duncan (Ryan) Frenton; and her cherished grandchildren, Ava Woodburn, Harriet (Hattie) Frenton, Hazel Frenton, and Brianna, Kenzie, and Chase Snider. She also leaves behind her sister, Kimberly (John) Iacoboni; her brother, Samuel Layne; and her stepsister, Peggy Sloan, along with numerous friends whom she considered family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Bill Boys, his mother, Emma Boys, sister-in-law, Charlotte Layne, stepdaughter, Samantha (Boys) Snider and along with many other distant family members.

Her husband, Bret, was instrumental in her caretaking, demonstrating his unwavering love and devotion. A heartfelt thank you to those who supported the family, especially Shonda Grandstaff in the past two years. She provided the family peace and companionship throughout this journey. She will forever be family. The family also extends their deepest gratitude to Genesis Hospice for their compassionate care, particularly to Kesha Pettiford and Jeremy Shriner.

Diana's legacy of love, determination, and grace will continue to inspire and uplift those who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Diana's memory, to aid in the ongoing research for a cure for this disease. In addition, donations can be made to Genesis Hospice.

Family and friends are invited to share cherished memories during her memorial visitation on January 3, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
