A funeral service for Donald "Don" Lewis Gaa Sr., 84 of Utica will be held at 7pm on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark. The family will receive friends from 5pm - 7pm prior to the service.

Donald "Don" Lewis Gaa Sr. passed away surrounded by loved ones on March 18, 2026, in Columbus, Ohio. He was an amazing husband, dad, papaw, big papaw, uncle, brother, and friend.

He is survived by his children, Donnie (Sam), Christina (Chad), and John; 13 grandchildren; 14 little grandchildren; brother-law, David (Marilyn) VanArsdale; sisters-in-law, Helen (Richard) Kirkendall, Colleen Kirkpatrick, and Phyllis VanArsdale; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Catherine (Dotters) Gaa; his loving beautiful wife, Barbara Gaa; brother, George Gaa; brother-in-law, Charles VanArsdale; sister-in-law, Judy (Thomas) Tucker; nieces and nephews, Debbie, Jason, Tammy, Davy, Tyler, Buster, and more.

Donald will be cremated and buried next to his wife, Barbara Gaa, at Newark Memorial Gardens.
