Donald A. Severino, a beloved father and friend, passed away on February 4, 2025, just one day shy of his 82nd birthday. Born on February 5, 1943, in Boston, Massachusetts, to D. Alexander Severino and Fern Severino (Dirkman), Donald lived a life filled with service, passion, and adventure. Donald's journey began in Worthington, Ohio, where he graduated from Worthington High School in 1961. He went on to pursue higher education at Ohio State University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. His commitment to serving his country led him into the U.S. Army, where he served from 1966-1968 and was recognized as a sharpshooter. Throughout his professional life, Donald dedicated himself to public service and industry. He retired from both Kaiser Aluminum and the Reynoldsburg Police Department, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and dedication. Donald's enthusiasm for life was evident in his many passions. He found joy in sail boating, admiring his cars, dancing, and music. His love for dancing was particularly special, as he found a wonderful partner in his special friend, Darla Mueller. He is survived by his loving son Donald A. Severino Jr. of Lehigh Acres, Florida, and his brother Douglas A. Severino. Donald also leaves behind special friends Travis and Mechelle Fleming, who were an important part of his life. Donald was preceded in death by his parents and his fiancée, Mary Knighton, whose memory he cherished. Those who knew Donald will remember him as a kind, caring, and energetic individual. His vibrant spirit and enthusiasm for life touched many, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Per Donald's request, no services will be held. Friends and family are encouraged to honor his memory in their own personal ways, celebrating the joy and love he brought to their lives.
