Donald J. Wilson, Sr.

A funeral service for Donald J. Wilson, Sr., 87, of Heath, OH, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 23, 2025, at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, with Pastor Gabe Mauller officiating. Burial will follow at Newark Memorial Gardens, where military honors will be conducted by the Licking County Veterans Alliance. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 22, 2025, at the funeral home, 985 N. 21st St. Newark, OH.
Donald passed away June 17, 2025, at his residence. He was born October 12, 1937, in Newark, OH, to the late William and Grace (Dase) Wilson.
Donald served in the Army National Guard, and he retired from the Newark Air Force Base. He was a member of Southgate Church of Christ, Newark Eagles 387, and American Legion Post 85. His creative talents were woodworking and carpentry. He enjoyed skill games, farkle, card games, and karaoke.
He is survived by his children, Charlotte Clay, Donald (Megan) Wilson, Jr., Russell (Kristi) Wilson, and Matthew (Marlene) Wilson; sister, Dorothy Anderson; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; close friend, Shirley Benson, and a special thanks to William Broseus for his wonderful care and compassion he gave him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy L. (Northcraft) Wilson; 3 brothers, and 4 sisters.
