Donna June Peck, 77, of Newark, died Thursday, December 21, 2023 at the Laurels of Heath. She was born December 27, 1945 in Newark to the late Stanley and June Shoemaker.

Donna enjoyed tending to her flower garden, reading, listening to music, baking, and spending time with her dog, Sophie.

She is survived by her children, Katherine Anne (Dale Baker) Peck, Cynthia Kay (Donald) Newell, and Michael Adam (Heather) Peck; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and brother, David Shoemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by grandsons, Matthew Terry, Carter Peck, and Donald Newell III; great granddaughter, Camilla Elaine Chapa Resendez; sister, Dixie Wright; and significant other, Samuel T. Dodd.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Donna to the National MS Society and/or Brain Injury Association of America.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 28, 2023 from 11-1 pm at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark, where the funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow the service at Brushy Fork Cemetery.
