Dora Maxine Bailey

A funeral service for Dora Maxine Bailey, 86, of Utica, OH, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 6, 2026, at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, with Pastor Wes Humble officiating. Burial will follow at Concord Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, February 5, 2026, at the funeral home, 985 N. 21st St. Newark.

Maxine passed away January 24, 2026, at Laurels of Heath. She was born September 14, 1939, in Granville, OH, to the late Oscar and Sylvia (Parr) Johnson.

Maxine was a former bus aide for Northridge School. She had a deep love for growing and arranging flowers and enjoyed capturing life through photography. Her talents were recognized at the Hartford Fairgrounds, where she proudly won multiple ribbons.

She is survived by her son, Mike (Kym) Bailey; grandchildren, Chrissie (Joe Leary) Matheson, Lewis (Kyra Darfus) Bailey and Emily (Levi) Dupler; great-grandchildren, Matthew (Adoura) Jones, Lincoln Dupler and Bailey Dupler, and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald H. Bailey; son, Ronnie Bailey, and brother, Raymond Johnson.
