Doris Helen Corl, 94, of Newark, died Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at the Selma Markowitz Hospice Center. She was born January 27, 1930 in Syracuse, NY to the late William Stephen and Martha Elizabeth (Soeder) Nelsen.

Doris enjoyed reading, painting, attending operas and had a love for animals. She was an avid trekker who hiked many trails. She traveled to several locations, with her favorite being her trip to Africa.

She is survived by her children, David N. (Jude) Corl,  Lynne A. (Dwight) Smith, Brenda L. (Kevin) Hutchens, Stephen D. (Annette) Corl, Kelly J. Corl and Amy E. (John) Natoli; seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Paul Corl.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Doris to Hospice of Central Ohio.

No funeral services will be held.
