Douglas Monroe Orner

A celebration of Life service for Douglas Monroe Orner, 45, of Hebron, OH, will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, July 28, 2024, at Southgate Church of Christ with Pastor Rob Hartman officiating. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 Sunday prior to the service at the church, 1075 S. 30th St. Heath, OH 43056.

Doug passed away July 20, 2024, at Franklin Medical Center. He was born March 4, 1979, in Newark, OH.

Doug was a 1998 graduate of Licking Valley High School, where he played tuba in the marching band. He was of Christian faith, a true friend, and loved Star Wars.

He is survived by his parents, Gary and Kathy (Wright) Orner; biological mother, Kathy Keaser; siblings, Scott Monroe, Alicia Hampton, and Heath Harold; sister-in-law, Erin (Jake) Snyder; niece, Baylee Klingel; nephew, Ben Riley Orner; aunts, uncles, and cousins, and lifelong friend, Scott Covington.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph C. Orner; maternal grandparents, Mack and Lois Wright; paternal grandparents, Charles and Betty Orner; grandmother, Barb Keaser; uncle, Kirby Wright, and cousin, Jon Orner.
