Earlene Jane Mill, age 78, of Newark, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2026, at the Selma Markowitz Care Center. She was born in Georgetown, Indiana on January 26, 1947, to the late Earl Jay and Doris Ethel (Moon) Hisle.

Earlene retired from the 21st, St. Laundromat. She was a member of the Cedar Hill Baptist Church and an exceptional friend who loved her cats, Smoky and Daisy, shopping, and stopping at Tim Horton's.

She is survived by her granddaughters, Kurstin Mill and Ca Kacie Mill; great-granddaughter, Aurora Howard; siblings, Janet (Sam) McCabe and David Hisle; 2 nieces and 2 nephews; adopted family, Sherrie (Mike) Sherrard, David Gee, Scott Williams, and Bev Morrison.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ric Hisle.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m.- 12 p.m. followed by a 12 p.m. funeral service on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N 21st. St, Newark, Ohio 43055.

A graveside service at Smith Chapel Cemetery will take place immediately following the funeral service.
