Edward L. Kyle, 86 of Newark passed away on November 4, 2025 at the Selma Markowitz Center. He was born on May 6, 1939 in Charleston, WV to the late Fred and Ruth (Lawson) Kyle.

Ed served honorably in the U.S. Air Force. He enjoyed working on cars, drag racing and golfing. He sang in the Columbus Symphony Choir for many years. He was proud to support many charitable organizations.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Emojean L. (Lowance) Kyle; children, Mary Elizabeth (Bob) Diebold, Gregory Philip (Beth) Kyle and Laura Jean (Mark) Hertel; brother, Gerald (Rachel Moses) Kyle; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Julie Workman; brother, Fred Kyle.

A memorial service will be held at 1pm on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark. The family will receive friends from 12-1pm. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Parkinson's Foundation- Great Lakes Chapter or National Kidney Foundation.
