Edward D. Trott, 85 of Newark passed away on March 12, 2025 at the Selma Markowitz Center. He was born on September 8, 1939 in Columbus, OH to the late Floyd S. and Edna (Dowler) Trott.

Ed served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Western Electric. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. Most of all he loved going to his great-grandchildren's sporting events.

He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Truex; son, Scott Trott; grandchildren, Jamie (Kelly) Mills, Cristin (Mark) DeVries, Stacie (Joe) MacDonald, Caree (Adam) Dey and Scottie Trott; 9 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara J. Trott; grandson, Nicholas Trott; son-in-law, Jim Truex; 1 brother and 1 sister.

Per his request, no public services will be held at this time.
