Eloise Ball, 81 of Newark passed away on January 13, 2025 at her residence. She was born on June 25, 1943 in Licking County, OH to the late Raymond F. and Bonetta G. (Dugan) Compton.

Eloise was a life member of the VFW Auxiliary and Deathwind Longrifles Club. She was also a member of the American Legion in Bellville and Moose in Lexington.

She is survived by her brother, Jim I. Compton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Avery "Duke" Ball; brother, Raymond F. Compton, Jr.; and sisters, Elsie V. Bevard, Sally G. Garven and Bonnie Jean Compton.

Funeral service will be held at 11am on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark. The family will receive friends from 10-11am prior to the service. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Bladensburg.
