Ernest "Ernie" Howard Merrill, age 70, of Newark, passed away on November 29, 2024, at his residence. Ernie was born on July 3, 1954, to the late Edward and Betty (Villinger) Merrill, in Newark.

He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer (Charles) Sillin, Melissa Conklin; grandchildren, Tyler Sillin, Spring Conklin, Ben Conklin Jr.; brothers, William (Joyce) Merrill, Charles (Cherie) Merrill, and Earl Wayne (Cindy) Merrill.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Judy Ann; and brothers, Gary Merrill, John Thomas Merrill.
