Espedito "Mauricio" Calle, age 71, of Newark, passed away at the Selma Markowitz Care Center Monday, April 29, 2024. He was born in Colombia on January 16, 1953, to the late Gilberto and Matilde (Cardona) Calle.

Mauricio enjoyed going to auctions, working on electronics, and playing with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Kim (Hughes) Cochran; children, John Calle, Julia (Tim) Schenkel, Joseph (Erin) Calle, Breanna (John) McNulty, Erica (Kelstin) Rkoczy, stepson, Travis (Crystal) Cochran; grandchildren, Gianna, Jaden, Julianna, Leonardo, Bianca, Ava, Nikolai, Cain, Jackson, Natalia, Mason, and Avery; great-grandchildren, Lorenzo and Aria; siblings, Beatriz Hidalgo, Doris (Robert) Surrett, Jose Calle, Isabel Clancey, Elsa Rodriguez.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Diego Calle, Fabian Calle, Maritza Quiroz, and Matilda Nogueda.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 pm Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st, Newark, Ohio 43055.
